RNA-seq of NTPDase3-based FACS-sorted human control and T1D alpha cells from five non-diabetic control donors and three T1D donors

Canonical Identifier
Description
This dataset investigated remnant beta cells and disordered alpha cells in T1D. Remnant beta cells appeared to maintain several aspects of regulated insulin secretion while the function of T1D alpha cells was markedly reduced and these cells had alterations in transcription factors constituting and alpha and beta cell identity. A total of 8 samples were analyzed; 5 were non-diabetic control donors and 3 were T1D donors. α cells were FACS-sorted and RNA was extracted from each of these samples. RNAseq was performed on all 8 samples.
