From Jackson Labs: The Pax6flox allele has loxP sites flanking exon 4-6 of the paired box 6 gene. Removal of the floxed sequence creates a null allele. These mice may be useful in studying the role of PAX6 in the eye, nose, pancreas and central nervous system.
